Gispribor-M

Founded in 1998 as a subdivision of Pskov Cable Works JSC, GISpribor-M became a leading manufacturer of surface equipment for geophysical research in exploratory, prospecting and operating wells. It also makes equipment for field development and management. We have vast experience in the design, manufacture and servicing of the equipment used in the gas and oil producing industry.

The main activities of GISpribor-M are the design and manufacture of well logging truck hoists for various purposes. We use components made by the leading Western and Russian manufacturers, on various types of chassis, as well as helicopter-transported hoists. Our company has all the required licenses and certificates.

Well logging truck hoists with hydraulic-operated pulling hoist PKS-5G and PKS-7G PKS-5G and PKS-7G manufactured by our company are suitable for well swabbing and also for all kinds of surveying of wells up to 7 km deep using SH cable up to 12.5 mm.. The hydraulic drive can be mounted on more powerful special-purpose well logging truck hoists PKS-5G-GS with an enlarged hoisting drum designed for surveys in horizontal and auxiliary wellbores using large diameter cable lines (up to 36 mm) with increased axial stiffness. The hydraulic system of the hoists is manufactured using equipment made by the leading foreign manufacturers. The machines can be operated in a wide range of ambient temperatures from –40 to +50 degrees C.

Well logging truck hoists with electrically driven pulling hoist PKS-3.5E (PKS-3.5E-02P and PKS-3.5E-KP) with the power up to 37 KW allow surveying of depths up to 3.5 km using SH cable up to 12.5 mm. These truck hoists are widely used in well management surveys. The truck hoists for surveys using self-contained instruments mounted on scraper wire SH 1.8-2.5 mm are also equipped with electrical drives. All the electrical hoists have a double power system – they can be powered by an external three-phase mains supply or by an autonomous generator driven by the truck power takeoff attachment with a capacity of up to 50 KW.

Well logging truck hoists with mechanically driven pulling hoist PKS-5 are manufactured both in a classical version with a two-speed gear reducer 2SKC-4 and automated monitoring and control system, and in a version with a differential gear transmission with an auxiliary electric drive (1 phase, 220 V)
PKS-5 (MAG). This ensures low speed of logging operations (10 m/hour) and an increased range of forced running speeds of the cable into the well.

The bodies of the truck hoists can be all-metal or made of sandwiched panels. The pulling hoist can be made with a double-section hoisting drum to allow use of two types of cable.

Well logging hoist trucks made by GISpribor-M support a wide range of stable speeds of logging operations and allow automation of the round-trip operations during geophysical surveys in the wells.

The microprocessor-based hoist control system ensures:

  • stable speed of well logging operations across a wide range: 40 to 10000 m/hour
  • possibility of automation of round-trip operations
  • possibility of working according to a preset sequence
  • specification of extreme values of tension and depth
  • automatic stopping upon reaching of the extreme value of tension in order to avoid cable breakage and the instrument stoppage during its lowering into the well
  • automatic stopping according to an extreme value of depth upon reaching of the borehole bottom or the wellhead
  • emergency hoisting of the cable
  • cable rewinding mode
  • logging of the calendar time, depth, travel speed and tension of the cable and saving onto an external 128 Mb storage medium
  • simple operation and maintenance, operational comfort for the maintenance personnel in accordance with the most severe requirements

The measurement system of the truck hoists allows the operator:

  • to visualize the logging depth, travel speed and tension of the cable
  • to enter correction coefficients from the operator's control panel
  • to form the depth quanta, magnetic mark and tension signals for logging

The climate control system allows operation of the truck hoists in various climatic conditions, it includes:

  • a WEBASTO heater
  • an air conditioner
  • heated floor
  • combined extract-and-input ventilation

The isothermal laboratory module of the truck hoist has:

  • two sleeping berths
  • a wash stand
  • a wardrobe
  • shelves
  • a table
  • a window with sun blinds
  • space for the recording system

Apart from the truck hoists GISpribor-M manufactures:

  • versatile well logging unit laboratories.
  • perforating unit laboratories in single- and two-box versions.
  • stationary electrically driven hoists for observation wells and devices for magnetic marking of the cable.
  • special-purpose marine hoists for the surveys using marine logging cables.
  • measurement systems and microprocessor-based logging control devices for upgrading the hoists. When transferring the devices to the customers we train the personnel to operate them safely.

We promptly respond to any requests from customers. We can tailor each item to any requirements of the customer. The customers can select from a number of options and configurations. Thanks to the use of up-to-date technologies and consistent quality control during the manufacturing process our truck hoists can compete with similar products made by leading Western manufacturers.
