Significant part of the products manufactured by "Pskovgeocable" is occupied by the cables, that do not contain armor from the steel wire - these are as a rule flexible, hermetically sealed cables with different sets of power and signal conductors, wear-resistant polymeric jacket and logging element from the high-strength threads ARMOS (Kevlar - DuPont trademark). The general nomenclature of these articles is very wide, and the sphere of application covers such regions as field and sea geophysics, air geophysics, electrical prospecting researches of shelf, control of robotic technical devices, towing of underwater and above-water apparatuses, etc. Special part in this group of cables is occupied by those with neutral or positive floatability for conducting electro-seismic survey of minerals at sea. The enumerated field of applications require such properties from cable as guarantee of high-speed transmission of information, including video, flexibility, jacket wear resistance at the frequent winding- coil of cable, light specific density, the presence of the logging element and as a rule, longitudinal hermetic sealing.

Cables are manufactured in compliance with the Technical Specifications or Technical Conditions which are desirable for a customer and are developed by the specialists "Pskovgeocable'". For example:

- TU 3572-006-24118545-2005- "Logging small-sized cables ";

- TU 3572-005-24118545-2005- the "Logging combined cables in the plastic jacket of KGK type"

- TU 3572-004-24118545-2005- "Telephone cables trunking in the polyurethane jacket of KTM type".

The existing nomenclature of products can be divided into the following groups: logging combined cables and cables with neutral of floatability.

Logging combined cables

Examples of the constructions of cables related to this group, are given in Fig. S.7.1

Cable GKU1K (5x0,75+2VP)U contains: 5 power conductors with cross section of 0,75mm? (1), one coaxial line (2) and two twisted pairs with cross section of 0, 07mm? (3), the logging element from the "Armos" threads (4), executed as the braiding on the cable core, in the polyurethane jacket (5).

Cable KST(4x1,0+4x2x0,35)-10 contains 4 power conductors with cross section of 0,75mm? (1), four twisted pairs with cross section of 0,35mm? (3), logging element from the "Armos" threads (4), executed as bundle, with the longitudinal hermetic sealing, in the polyurethane jacket (5).

Furthermore, at will of customer enterprise installs on the cables outlets, joints and outputs of conductors using the method of hot pressing under the pressure.

Cables with the neutral buoyancy (floating cables)

Cables with the neutral and positive buoyancy are applied in special works at sea by their towing after the vessel. Cables are divided according to the functional designation into the generator and the receiving.

To guarantee the assigned sinking of cable, it can have variable structure along the length with the additional amplifying or load elements.

The constructions of generator cables have power conductor with cross section up to 70 mm?, carried out in the form of central copper or aluminum flex conductor or winding on the cable core by thin copper wires or copper of straps.

Cables contain on 16 signal strands with cross section of 0,2 mm?, (1), power conductors, made using the method of the winding of wire or tape by10 and 30 mm?, (2), the logging element from the "Armos" threads in the form of plait (3), have positive floatability 3-5%, longitudinal hermetic sealing and jacket from polyethylene of high pressure (4).
